Welcome to Gunalda State School.
It is a privilege to lead our beautiful small school, set in a rural country community where relationships matter and every child is known, valued and supported. At Gunalda, we are proud of our safe, welcoming and caring environment, where students are encouraged to grow as learners and as people.
Our school motto, Nurturing Growth, reflects what we believe education is truly about. Growth looks different for every child. It may be building confidence, developing a love of reading, solving a tricky maths problem, showing kindness to a friend, stepping into a leadership role, or having the courage to try something new. At Gunalda State School, we celebrate these moments and work together to help each student take their next step.
As a small school, we have the special opportunity to build strong connections with students, families and the wider community. Our staff know our learners deeply and work hard to provide calm, supportive and engaging classrooms where students feel safe to learn, make mistakes, ask questions and strive for their personal best.
We value high expectations, strong relationships and a genuine sense of belonging. Our students are supported to be safe, responsible, respectful and active learners, both in the classroom and in the playground. We want every child to feel proud of who they are, where they come from, and what they can achieve.
Our rural setting is an important part of who we are. Gunalda State School has a strong country school feel, where community spirit, care and connection are at the heart of school life. We are grateful for the support of our families, P&C and local community, who work alongside us to create meaningful opportunities for our students.
Whether you are a current family, a new family considering our school, or a member of our wider community, I warmly welcome you to Gunalda State School. We are proud of our school, our students and the growth we nurture every day.
